Queen of Hearts – RULES

The drawing starts with 54 cards in individual sealed envelopes (“the deck” plus two Jokers).  The envelopes are placed randomly on the board and numbered 1-54.

TICKETS

Tickets are on sale for each week’s drawing for $1.00 per ticket (CASH ONLY) and there is no limit on the number of tickets that can be purchased.  Tickets will be sold at Buckeye Winery during normal business hours.  Ticket sales end at 7:30pm on the night of each drawing. When tickets are purchased, you must print your first and last name, phone number and the number of the envelope that you think contains the Queen of Hearts on each ticket and place them in the hopper.  If a ticket is drawn and it is missing any of the required information, or if it is not legible, or if it contains the number of an envelope that has already been drawn, it will be discarded, and a new ticket will be drawn.  Tickets placed in the hopper must be single tickets and separated from other tickets.  If multiple tickets drawn are still attached together, those tickets will be void and discarded and another ticket will be drawn.

DRAWING

The weekly drawing will occur on Thursday at 8pm from the tickets in the hopper that were collected between Thursday after the previous drawing until 7:30pm of the drawing night.  Once a ticket has been drawn and confirmed to contain all the necessary information, the envelope with the same number as written on the ticket will be opened.

PAYOUT

If the envelope contains the Queen of Hearts, the person whose name is on the ticket wins 90% of the JACKPOT if present.  If not present, they win 50% of the JACKPOT.  The remaining 10% or 50% respectively will be used to start the JACKPOT of the next game.

                Additional Payouts

If the envelope opened contains either of the two JOKERS, the person whose name is on the ticket wins 10% of the JACKPOT.

After the drawing, all tickets will be discarded, and a new drawing will occur on the following Thursday. The revealed card will be displayed with its face shown on the board in place of the envelope.

The JACKPOT amount will be updated daily and displayed inside Buckeye Winery and online at BuckeyeWinery.com/QueenOfHearts.

Once the Queen of Hearts has been revealed, the game is over. All cards will be taken down and the game will start over.

Drawings will not be held on Holidays that fall on Thursday, or any Thursday that Buckeye Winery is not open.

You must be 18 years old to enter.

Buckeye Winery DOES NOT profit from ticket sales.  ALL cash received from sales is distributed to the winner as allocated above.
